Cyber Social Program Terms & Conditions

Welcome to our Cyber Social community!

Before you embark on your Cyber Social journey with us, it’s important to familiarize yourself with our Terms and Conditions. These T&Cs outline everyone’s rights and responsibilities to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair gaming environment. Please take the time to review these terms thoroughly to ensure clarity and understanding.

Code of Conduct:

Respect: Treat others with kindness and respect, both online and offline.

Fair Play: Play by the rules of the game and promote fair competition.

Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and create an inclusive environment for all participants.

Positive Communication: Use positive and constructive language when interacting with others.

Responsible Gaming: Play responsibly and take breaks as needed. Remember to balance gaming with other activities.

Online Safety:

Privacy: Respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing personal information online.

Cyberbullying: Zero tolerance for cyberbullying or harassment of any kind. Report any instances of bullying to the moderators immediately.

Parental Supervision: Participants under the age of 18 must have parental permission to participate in online activities. Parents are encouraged to monitor their child’s online interactions.

Cybersecurity:

Account Security: Keep your account credentials confidential and avoid sharing them with anyone.

Malicious Software: Do not download or share any files that may contain viruses or malware.

Reporting: Report any suspicious activity or security breaches to the moderators or administrators promptly.

Intellectual Property:

Respect Copyrights: Do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Only share content that you have the right to distribute.

User-Generated Content: By participating in our gaming groups, you grant us the right to use any user-generated content (e.g., screenshots, videos) for promotional purposes.

Community Guidelines:

Game Master Authority: The instructions of game masters and administrators must always be followed.

Dispute Resolution: In the event of conflicts or disputes, seek resolution through peaceful and respectful communication. Game Masters are available to mediate if necessary.

Suspension or Ban: Violation of these terms and conditions may result in suspension or permanent ban from the gaming community.

Disclaimer:

Limitation of Liability: While we take measures to ensure the safety of our participants, we cannot guarantee protection against all online risks. By participating in our gaming groups, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with online activities.

Amendments:

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or through our online platforms.

Cyber Social Program Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your support sessions. To ensure smooth operations and fairness for everyone, we have established this cancellation policy for our gaming programs. Please take the time to read through the terms because we want to ensure that you fully understand and feel confident in managing your support sessions with us.

One Shots and Events

One shots and events are written into a Schedule of Support and in compliance with NDIS price guide regulations, standard short-term cancellation policies apply:

Notice Period: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us time to offer the time slot to another participant who may need it and adjust our schedule. No charges will apply.

Short Notice Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to attend a scheduled session without prior notice (“no-show”), the full session fee will be charged as a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee will be deducted from your funding allocation for that support session.

Exceptions: We understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you’re unable to provide the required notice due to illness, emergency situations, or other valid reasons, please let us know as soon as possible. In such cases, the cancellation fee may be waived.

It’s essential to communicate any cancellations or changes promptly. You can notify us by calling our program coordinator or sending an email to relationships@gslservices.com.au . Please provide your name and the details of the support session you wish to cancel or reschedule.

12 week Campaigns

Each campaign is written into a Program of Support. Each program spans a maximum of 12 weekly sessions. These sessions are scheduled throughout the school term (10 weeks) and extend into the school holidays (2 weeks). Should you prefer not to participate during the holidays, you must notify us at least 2 weeks before the holiday period to terminate your Program of Support.

For individuals joining a group midway through a term, the program of support will be tailored for the remaining duration of that period.

As part of the Program of Supports, participants are invoiced according to the agreed rates, irrespective of their attendance. In compliance with NDIS price guide regulations, standard short-term cancellation policies do not apply to Program of Supports arrangements.

To maintain group cohesion and a secure environment that nurtures social connection, cancellations are strongly discouraged and should be minimized whenever possible.

Cyber Social Program Session Information

All participants must have a service agreement with GSL.

Special events and one shots are written into a Schedule of Support. These are single events which can be booked individually or in bulk.

Campaigns and Esports Coaching are written into a Program of Support. Each Program of Support is for a maximum of 12 x weekly sessions. Sessions will run through the school term (10 weeks) plus the school holidays (2 weeks). If you do not wish to attend through the school holidays, you can give notice 2 weeks prior to the holiday starting, to cancel your Program of Support. If you’re joining a group mid term, the Program of Support will be for the remainder of that period.

Our aim is to nurture a safe and supportive environment that develops participant skills through in-person group experiences. Cancellations are strongly discouraged. In Campaigns and Esports Coaching the option of online participation is offered in preference to missing a session. In some circumstances online participation may be offered to a regular participant of One Shot events. Online participation is not extended to Special Events.

Cyber Social Programs Session Costs

Private payment is at the same rate, plus GST.

Initially, each session will have a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:3. Depending on session/group size and observed group dynamics, this ratio may be adjusted to 1:4 or 1:5. Any adjustment will result in a reduced session cost, and you will be invoiced accordingly.

Agreeing to the following statements will be regarded as “informed consent” to what may occur during normal service delivery. For the purposes of this document GSL: a Good Start to Life Pty Ltd (GSL) is taken to include any person employed by GSL irrespective of their role within the company.

Acceptance/Non-acceptance by Participants and Appointed Representative, if applicable, of all of the following conditions is required before GSL will provide services to the participant.

A. Sharing Personal or Private Information

I acknowledge that the GSL Confidentiality and Privacy Policy is designed to inform individuals about the way GSL collects, stores, uses, and discloses personal information about the participant. The GSL Confidentiality and Privacy Policy can be viewed at www.gslservices.com.au

I acknowledge that GSL collects personal information for the purposes of providing services, and that GSL will not share information it holds about the participant with other people, departments, agencies, or organisations without my express permission, except in the following circumstances when GSL may share the participants personal information without seeking my prior permission.

When the law requires GSL to provide the participants information to another person, department, agency, or organisation.

When GSL policy requires GSL to provide the participants information to another person, department, agency, or organisation (such as employment agencies).

With authorised persons within the GSL organisation.

With agencies with legitimate reasons for requiring information, including (but not limited to) law enforcement agencies, courts, coroners, and external complaint bodies (such as the Commonwealth Ombudsman & the Australian Human Rights Commission).

With first aid & first response personnel, health professionals, and health organisations for the purpose of ensuring the participant receives appropriate health care if required during GSL service delivery.

With relevant State/Territory government authorities, departments, and agencies for the purposes of contributing to the protection from harm of a child, young person, or vulnerable person. I authorise GSL to seek and share information with agencies and practitioners as is required for the purposes of providing services to the participant (including relevant government departments, community services, private service providers, and health professionals).

I authorise GSL to disclose any information I provide to GSL, and any other information GSL collects about the participant, where it is deemed necessary to safeguard the participant (including parents/guardians/appointed representative, responsible third parties, any law enforcement body, government department, or any other organisation).
